Principal s Message

It is an honor to serve the students and their families at Garfield Elementary.  We desire to help all students reach their fullest potential, while teaching them the value of taking care of their community.  Garfield Elementary is home to approximately 560 amazing students, who are accepting the challenge to reach their greatest potential in life.  Each day our dedicated staff members are teaming up to help the students achieve success while also helping them grow in the values of Respect, Responsibility, Reflection and Safety.  These values have been a part the school for many years, and they define what it means to be a “Garfield Great.”  As a staff, we pledge to give our students and their families our very best so that Garfield Elementary continues to provide students a solid foundation in life.

Our Purpose / Mission at Garfield Elementary

At Garfield Elementary, we are building respectful relationships with all stakeholders to provide relevant, creative, safe and positive learning experiences that result in Garfield Elementary being truly IRRESISTABLE to ALL students. Our school strives to recognize achievement while helping students reflect on their present and future goals. We implement responsible interventions for students who show signs of needing additional support. We do this because our staff believes ALL students can succeed and achieve in life.
